Laser Innovative Hard Disk

Researchers say that they have found some ways to increase the speed of Magnetic Hard Disk by a factor of 100.

A publish released by Institute of Molecules and Materials at Radbound University Nijmegen describes a method of using ultrarapid pulses of polarized light to heat up areas on a magnetic hard disk and use the same light to change the polarity of those areas. The polarity of the storage medium is reversed by reversing the polarity of the laser pulses.

small and handheld devices because this is not only

capable of clear visibility but also save 40% of more

power than the LCD displays.

Many experts views say that it is a technology

which will soon become powering Car Radios and

end up on large Television Screens.

They also said that the organic material used

between the two electrodes must be improved

which illuminate the screen, and costs will have

to come down before OLEDs become widely

used in cell phones, PCs and flat-screen TVs.
